Born in 1992, Sam Confortola grew up between the UK and Italy. Attending school and University in the UK while travelling back to Italy for every holiday. He first picked up a camera after finishing his undergraduate degree and is fully self taught photogtrapher.
Now mainly operating in the European Alps as an Action Sport and Commercial photographer, he aims to dedicate a substantial part of the year telling stories about current issues and social causes. He is currently working on a project about the Tibetan refugee crisis, expected to be release in 2019 to mark the 60th Anniversary of His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama’s forced departure from Tibet.
Although his body of work is diverse, ranging from Photojournalism to Fine Art Landscapes and Action Sport’s he firmly believes that what is learnt in one genre can be applied in any on e of the others.
